Description

Performance Lab: In this 4 week course students gain valuable performance experience through being directed in multiple comedy sketches. Students will be assigned scripts on week one and work on memorization, blocking, characterization, and execution to get a feel for acting in a sketch comedy show.

Prerequisites: Acting Essentials or Comedy Performance 1 at The Comedy Project, or Acting 1 at another institution, or 6 months of performance experience.

*This class is available to be extended for a complete 8 weeks. There is an optional 4 weeks prior to this from April 1-April 22 of Acting Essentials where students learn the fundamentals of comedy acting. The 8 week course is available for $175 and is open for enrollment though selecting “Acting Essentials and Performance Lab” on the course registration page.*
